Community Crisis Contact Numbers and Email Addresses
In response to the tragedy at Virginia Tech, Brandeis University has strengthened its crisis management procedures and emergency communications systems. With these improvements in place, University leadership can now provide regular updates to the Brandeis community in a variety of ways while a campus crisis is ongoing. During a crisis, the university can now communicate with you in these ways:
- Announcements broadcast from Brandeis campus phones located in offices, classrooms and other public gathering places
- An email message sent to your Brandeis email account
- A message sent to your Brandeis voicemail
- Announcements posted on the Brandeis University website
- Announcements posted on campus plasma screens
- A voice message and/or text message sent to your personal cell phone
- An email message sent to your personal email account
To help you stay safe and keep you fully informed during a crisis, we need your help now. We strongly encourage you to contribute your current contact information (your cell phone number, other personal phone numbers, and personal email address) so that we can communicate with you regularly while a crisis is ongoing. Your participation will require very little time, but it may help ensure your safety and that of other Brandeis community members during a crisis. Please use the links below to contribute your contact information.
